Aboriginal Art

On Thursday, we learned about Aboriginal Art. We saw some great paintings that Mr. Creaner had bought in Australia. We learned that the aboriginals used sticks to do their paintings. They had different designs and symbols for what they were painting. They used different methods to us. The most well known type of painting is dot-painting. The dot paintings tell us about the "dreamtime" that the Aboriginals believe in. Here are some pictures of us doing our version of dot painting.

Cake Sale

We had a cake sale on the 22nd of February. It was our first and best cake sale we ever had. 7 classes came to our cake sale and they enjoyed it very much. We had tonnes of biscuits, rice crispies, crisps, bars, cake and ice cream and more. All the money that we raised was for the Go Astro Turf Pitch.  In total we raised over €500. We hope we can do it next year again!
