Welcome to our class blog!

Welcome to our class blog. Here we will tell you a little bit about what is happening in our classroom. In the month of September, we learned about the Aztecs, Greek Mythology and the rivers, lakes, mountains etc of Ireland. The Aztecs lived in Tenochtitlan in Mexico city. It was built on lake Texcoco in 1345. 300 years later the Spanish invaded the Aztecs and the empire came to an end. King Midas was one of the greedy Greek kings who had a craving for gold. The ancient Greeks invented Gods to represent things that happened in their lives. The tallest mountain in Ireland is Carrantouhill, and it is in the McGillycuddy Reeks. The longest river is the River Shannon, Lough Allen, Lough Ree, and Lough Derg are on the River Shannon.
We did a lot of revision in maths. We learned new phrases in Irish, such as "in éineacht leis ... "  which means "with him" , and ""ar aghaidh libh", which means "go on" or " carry on".
We went to Santry and we competed in an Orienteering competition. There are some photos of the event below. We hope you like them!
We learned how to redo Vincent Van Gogh's sunflowers, We did some still life sketches. We made stick men and women out of pipe cleaners and lollipop sticks and we created cool Autumn pictures.
We learned a bit about Rugby and the Rugby World Cup. Each person was in charge of researching a country. We thought Ireland would get to the finals, but we got beaten by Wales at the weekend.
We also wrote about our heroes and we hope to put up some of these later on. Keep an eye out!

    I learned that Evaporation is water evaporated into gas or Water Vapour. Condensation is that gas turned into a cloud. Precipitation is when it gets heavy and falls to the ground. Cirrus, Stratus and Cumulus. A fog is ground cloud. Uncle Dan would hide in a gabbish can.

    The gasworks apartments are for sale.They are located at Ringsend, Dublin 4.They are for sale for 43 million euro. The 210 apartments are for sale to people all over the world.It is nine-stories high.There are two and one bedroom apartments in the building.It will take a long time to sell because of the reshion.

    When robbie keane scores a goal whether its for ierland or (currently)LA Galaxy he has a goal celebration where he runs towards the side of the pitch then does a quick cartwheel followed by a head-over-heels to land and face the croud. So what kind of phyics lie behind his signature build gymnnastics mini-routine? Keane first accelerates to build up linear momentum which is determined by his mass (which he cant chance quickly) and volocity (which he can increase by running).Then he leans over and literally falls off balance towards the ground kean body rotates int the cartwheel and when his hands hit the pitch his legs swing and over again the volotiy and speed is importin in keeping this angular momentum then his feet land back down on the ground he curls and falls into the head-over-heels montion. Hurray!

    MY DAY AT A FARM! When I went to the farm it was an adventure.There was a gift shop and a lot of places to go exploring.It was a school tour.We had to be put into pares of 2.I was pared up with Michael.We got there on a bus.My class was divided into groups of 10.We had to find out what ate the chicken.We found a lot of clus like skulls and footprints.I bought a drawing book in the gift shop.There was pencils, yoyos and rubbers.We had fun on the way back.It was great!P.S. A fox ate the chicken!
