From this website I have learned......
Nelson Mandela was born in Transkei, South Africa. He was educated in the university collage Fort Hare and the university of Witwatersrand he qualified in law in 1942.From 1964 to 1982, he was incarcerated at Robben Island Prison, off Cape Town he was then put at Pollsmoor Prison, nearby on the mainland. He was released on February 11, 1990. He tried to achieve the goals he and others had set out 40 years earlier.
