I went to a farm in dublin called Reynolds town farm.it was really fun there were lots of dogs there.I went during the summer 2 years ago.The swans stared chasing me and a chicken bit me.Thats all I Remember.
ReplyDeleteTeacher,
ReplyDeleteI have never been to a farm so this what I think a farm is like.
There would be lots of animals in fields such as pigs , cows , sheep and chickens etc. There would be acres of fields filled with crops like corn and wheat. The farmer would milk the cows in the evening , feed the chickens at dawn. The sheepdogs would help him herd the sheep. There would be cows munching on grass, pigs rolling in mud and ducks playing in the pond. That is what I think you would find on the farm.

My experiences about being on a farm is seeing all the animals likes horses, cows, sheep. One time while I was up in Clare I was feeding the Lamas and they took the whole bag of food! It's great being on a farm since you have great views of the mountains and highlands. My sister would love to live on a farm because she loves horeses. I also love feeding animals and petting them! But also I rode on a horse which was very fun!! And that's why those are my experiences of being on a farm.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite experience on a farm was a farm my family went to in Wicklow. It was in a place called Inch. We went there for a weekend away. My brother and I were only very young so I don't remember a lot.
ReplyDeleteWhen we went to see the bull my brother was wearing red. He was terrified he bull would charge at him! They took us out the on a trailer that was attached to a tractor to the geese pond. They let us feed the geese. They also had a pony ride for young kids.
It wasn't a meat or dairy producing farm. it was quite a big farm which had some family holiday-homes on the farm and it had a little playground. It was a very family friendly farm and I loved it!!!!!
Hi,i've never been on a farm but i think there would be farmers miliking cows dogsheep running after sheep pigs in mud and chickens and goats tractors everywhere and that's what i think would be on a farrm.
ReplyDeleteThe first animals I saw at the farm were cows, sheep, horses, bulls, dogs and chickens. The cows only ate grass and moo. The chickens were the only animals not out. The pigs just rolled around in the mud because it was a warm day. One bull charged at me. Even though there was a fence I still started to run. Every one started to laugh. One donkey bit my finger when I was feeding it grass. The horses were the only animals that did something. They ran after each other. The last thing I did was hold chicks and milk a cow.
ReplyDeleteI have seen a sheep farm but I never really went into it .I think a farm will have lots of cows, pigs, goats and sheeps. My anty kind of lives near a farm in India and she said it has lots of pigs and sheeps.
ReplyDeleteThe first time I ever went to a farm was a school tour to Newgrange Farm.
ReplyDeleteIt was a sunny day at Newgrange I saw an area for the animals.
There was pig`s,cow`s,chicken`s and sheep`s.
And we ate our small lunch not so far from there.
Near the end of the day we went to a little play ground.
And after that we had our big lunch not so far from the playground
At the farm in England they gave us bags of food and we were allowed to go around feeding the animals. We were also allowed to go in and pet the goats. Near the entrance there was horse riding and go karts. There was also a show for little kids. They had some really big horses called Suffolk Punch. After the main farm there was a really long walk around the outside of the farm. You could see more animals there including the sheep, pigs and horses.
ReplyDeleteI went to my cousins grandad and uncle's farm in tipperary.I think it was a dairy farm because there was a milking machine and lots of cows.If you jump in front of the cows they all back up.There was a wire fence keeping the cows from escaping
ReplyDeleteMy cousins live on a farm in Adare co.Limerick. It is 80 acres of land and the post box is so far from the house that my cousin ad I once rode bikes out to it. It is no longer a working farm but another local farmer rents some land from my uncle and grazes his cattle there. My uncle stables some race horses and one of them lost an eye when it fell in a race. The land is in the "Golden Vale" of Ireland. I love visiting my cousins farm.
ReplyDeleteThe farm i went to was in India. It was one of my uncle's farm. It's an animal farm. On the farm there are birds, goats, chickens and loads of fish. If you went out a bit further you would find a paddy field.
ReplyDeleteP.S.:The website has a lot of information.
When I was on a fram in Longford.Thier were lots of cows used for beef with is called a beef farm. The cows were kept in big sheds or in fields. The sheds would have different parts one part would have some calfs and the older cows would be in there own part. Most of the cows would be fat if they were used for beef. Most females would have calfs before they used for beef. The cows beef is a steak or a burger.People all over Ireland eat beef naerly ever day.
ReplyDeleteONE DAY I went to new bridge farm with my mam my dad and my sister. WE brought our picnic with us . It was 10 euro for us which my dad thought it was a great value . As we went on we saw the pigs which were dirty and smelly . Then we went to look at the horse and they were beautiful and soft. AS my mam and dad decide to have our picnic and then we layed out our blanket and my mam took out all the food and then we stared to eat it . THEN the birds came over and started to eat all our food . I got really anger and I chased then away and the was not watching were i was going and then I fell into the pond and then we had to go home because I WAS dirty and I looked like the pigs and then eveeybody stared to laugh and even me
ReplyDeleteMy farm was in Wicklow and I think it was a meat farm. There was pigs and a lot of animals that have meat. But there was a little bit of crops so it was a mixed farm. We went to see the rabbits and we got to pet them but one got out and we had to chase him. My friend caught him. There was a cow and the man milked him and he squirted the milk at us and the milk was warm but it was okay because it was fresh. There was a dog and it followed us the whole way they said "he follows most of the groups." He was there little mascot. they had another dog but he was sick and he had to get put down. We got to flock the sheep and it was so fun. We saw the piglets and they were so dirty but so cool. At the end we did a treasure hunt. We had to find a certain type of leaf but I saw a fox and it was scary but cool!
ReplyDeleteWhen i was on a farm my Granddad was getting milk in a dairy farm.I got sick of the horrible smell and then I had to stay in the car for the next hour in The Netherlands when In was four.
ReplyDelete-Mr.Awesome:)

ReplyDeleteMy family and I went to a farm in Philippines. There were crops and pumpkins hanging from the ceiling of the greenhouse. They also had a dairy factory. They made fresh ice cream by milking the cows. You can get one but you have to buy it.It tasted really nice. They also had a little pond and a playground! It was really fun.
ReplyDeleteThe farm I visited was in Wexford, it was called Blackwater Open Farm. I'm not sure what type of farm it was but it was more of a family farm than anything else. I went there on holidays two years ago and I had great fun! It was very small at around 4 acres of land but it seemed very big. When I was visiting the donkey section, a donkey came up behind me (I was right beside the gate, bad idea!) and took a clump out of my hair! It was quite sore. There was sheep, horses, very aggresive donkeys, goats, pigs, lamas, cows and loads more I haven't even named half of them! After my donkey accident we went on this mini-buss to have a tour around the farm. My cousins are all younger than me and they came too but I regret going on the buss because barney songs peppa pig songs were being shouted right into my ear. We went to the pets corner section of the farm and there was bunnys, chicks, puppys, these albino rats were there too and there was also this big black hairy pig going around. The worker told me to rub his back because he laughs so I did, I never knew a pig could laugh that much! I got to pet all of the pets and it was great fun. That was my favourite farm ever!
ReplyDeleteFarms in Morrocco are very big, some people eat the stuff from their farm. Most of the farms grow water melons, cabbage and cactus figs. The chickens in the farms ruin water melons and the cabbages. In the farms they have cows ,horses and sheep.
ReplyDeleteThe farm I went to is in Clare but I can't remember the name. My family and I went for a day out with our friends. (Aoife and Keith and their mam and dad) We met at the entrance. As far as I can remember, there was a play ground there. Aoife and I ran over to the slide and and climbed up the ladder. But when we got to the top and sat down a goose had sat down at the end of the slide. Aoife climbed down to get the goose of the slide and I followed. The goose chased us all over the playground. But because we were youny we thought the goose wanted to eat us. My brother Liam, and Keith laughed at us for hours that day. As we continued on, we bought bags of food. We were able to sprinkle food all over the ground for pigs, chickens, goats, cows, sheep, lamas and way more animals. There was one goat who kept following me. Eventualy I got creeped out and ran back up the slide so he couldn't get me. Bad idea. I couldn't get back down. When my dad finaly shoed him away I got down. Then we went to a lama. The lama was REALLY greedy! He ate my brothers whole bag of food! Then the goat came back. He kept on nudging me while I fed the lama. I had my back turned to him, and I was hoping it would stay like that. But then he started trying to eat my hat so I turned around. But then while I wasn't looking, the lama ate all my food!
ReplyDeleteMy favourite animal was the rabbits. They were quite, calm and WELL fed! We were able to hold them in our arms. I really liked that. It was probably the best thing I had done all day! But then Aoife droped her rabbit and that was the end of that. The cows were really cool though! We were able to get piggy back rides on them. I named my cow tiny. Yeah. I admitt it is a very bad name for a cow! The pigs were next. We were told to scratch them with a stick. But then one pig ate my stick and I was sad. They were all dirty and smelly. I didn't like them much! Then it rained. Aoife and I got all muddy. My mam said we could hop in there with the pigs and nobody would reconize us as humans! Anyway... I could write about this for ages. Well I had a good day! (Well, apart from the goose, and the lama, and the goat, and the pigs, and the- well you get it!)
I went to a farm on a school tour.I dont remember much but i'll tell you what I can remember.I remember a kinda playground with sand and it had mimi digers.I remembered that each of us fed a bull. The bull had lots of hair and had huge horns! We had a race around a curvy fence. There were cows sheep and we peted some rabits, most of them ran away.I remember a beatiful white horse and the main shined in the sunlight.I remember most of the guys got in trouble juring lunch for jumping up and down on the spare tables.Well thats all i can remember.P.S Thats the only farm I've been too!:)
